Electronic Signs Prohibited in USC, Revised Ordinance Makes it Clear

The Board of Commissioners voted to make a revision to the Upper St. Clair law on Monday night.

It has always been illegal to have an eletronic message board or sign in .

On Monday night, the township made it even more clear by making by amending the exisiting zoning ordinance.

Scott Brilhart, director of community development, told commissioners the mall was allowed to eep the sign because it was in place before the original ordinance was created. However, he said the mall developers have plans to take down the sign and are currently putting together a proposal to present to the township.

The vote to amend the ordinance was unanimous.
