'Radio Rose' Interviews Notable Names at Republican National Convention

The Peters Township resident spoke with Michele Bachmann, Jon Voight, Rick Santorum, Pat Boone, Herman Cain, Mike Huckabee and Dinesh D'Souza, just to name a few.

Rose Tennent, also known as "Radio Rose" of The War Room with Quinn and Rose, had the opportunity to interview key players at the Republican National Convention in Tampa, FL, last week.

Having quite the résumé, the resident said the experience was unlike anything she's done before. Tennent often appears on The Sean Hannity Show—both as a guest and, at times, in Hannity's place on his radio segment.

During her time at the RNC, she interviewed CL Bryant, Herman Cain, Artur Davis, Michele Bachmann, Dinesh D’Souza, Jon Voight, Pat Boone, Rick Santorum, Ken Blackwell, Mike Huckabee, Keith Rothfus and Marsha Blackburn.

As Tennent reflected on the week's happenings, she shared the event was planned more than a year and a half ago and took 318 production staff members, as well as 30,000 man hours to complete.

According to the GOP committee, the crew members hailed from 22 different states and worked 16-hour days before the RNC and around the clock during. The planning committee wanted to recreate a sense of "America's living room," which Tennent described as "cozy and comfortable—a great feel."

She also shared that mainstream TV originally had not planned to air Ann Romney's speech, which prime-time TV picked up Tuesday.

Tennent said Sen. Marco Rubio decided to give up his spot for Romney, who was originally scheduled to speak Monday.

She said she believed it may have been intentional to keep Romney off air because of the "supposed war on women."

"She's a beautiful and eloquent speaker," Tennent said. "She's a key surrogate in the race, as women voters are fiercely sought after by her husband—and Barack Obama."
