Nearby: Route 88 Detours Scheduled for This Weekend

Drivers should expect delays.

PennDOT crews will be repairing a bridge along Route 88 (Library Road) in Bethel Park on Saturday and Sunday, April 20-21, weather permitting.

Crews will be performing parapet work on the bridge that carries Route 88 over Piney Fork between Churchill Road (Route 3022) and Clifton Road (Route 3004).

To allow the work to occur, Route 88 will be closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.

The following detour will be posted:

Southbound

  • Make left onto Berryman Avenue
  • Turn right onto Stewart Road (Route 3011)
  • Make Right onto Brownsville Road
  • End detour

Northbound     

  • Same detour in opposite direction

Nearly 9,000 vehicles use Route 88 in this area on an average day.

Motorists are advised to use caution, slow down and be aware of changing traffic patterns when driving through the area. Allow extra time and expect delays.
