Morrow Road Land Sale Approved

The township will take in approximately $280,000.

Upper St. Clair commissioners on Monday approved the sale of unused township land off Morrow Road.

The sale price is $56,100 per acre, and the size of the plot is about 5 acres. The final total will be contingent on a land survey and is estimated to be more than $280,000.

The buyer is Gabe Hudock of Peters Township, who submitted the only bid and purchased the land at the minimum asking price.

The land is to the west of Marmion athletic complex. Commissioner Bob Orchowski stressed that the property being sold is not contiguous to the playing fields, but is across a creek and up a hill.

Upper St. Clair acquired 11.5 acres in 1976.
