Longtime Upper St. Clair Scoutmaster Retires

Steven Stockton was recognized at the Upper St. Clair Board of Commissioners meeting.

The Board of Commissioners recognized Steven Stockton for his service as a scoutmaster.

Stockton retired from serving as scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop #366 since 1995.

"Mr. Stockton has served as a guide and mentor to the community's youth and has been instrumental in developing and providing a quality program for all scouts. Stockton's exemplary volunteer service has assisted nearly 60 scouts to advance to the rank of eagle," an official Upper St. Clair proclamation stated.

Stockton achieved the Wood Badge in 1993—the most advance training available for boy scout leaders—and the Unit Leader Award of Merit in 2012.

Stockton is a 30-year resident of Upper St. Clair and father of four sons—three of whom achieved the eagle scout rank.
