Board OKs Final Application for Hays Road Neighborhood

In a 4-0 vote, the planning commission recommends the final approval for the Fair Acres development.

The planning commission unanimously voted in favor of the final application for a new Upper St. Clair neighborhood off of Hays Road.

The developer, W.C. McCloskey Family LP, must now receive approval from the commissioners on the final application before building can begin.

, William McCloskey said he hopes construction will begin no later than spring 2012.

The 37-lot Fair Acres subdivision will be located off of Hays Road and borders Bethel Park and Peters Township. The developer plans to build sidewalks on each side of the road within the subdivision and along Hays Road directly in front of the neighborhood. 

Commissioners will likely schedule a public hearing on the neighborhood's final application at the next meeting on Monday, Sept. 26.
