Bedner Estates Developer Sues Bridgeville

A court battle begins as the developer tries to get neighborhood access to a Bridgeville road.

The developer planning to build 136 homes on the former Bedner's Farm in Upper St. Clair Township is suing the Borough of Bridgeville, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Bedner Estates is suing to get access to Main Street from its neighborhood plan. The developer reportedly also wants to tap into the borough's sewer lines.

The Bridgeville Council has voted to not to open Main Street to Bedner Estates, citing worries about traffic and safety on the residential road.

Upper St. Clair commissioners have already approved the first of three phases for Bedner Estates, which includes 25 homes to be built by Heartland Homes and 21 homes to be constructed by Thomas Homes.
