Woman's Hearing Delayed
A Pittsburgh woman is accused of using a child as a theft accomplice.
A Pittsburgh woman who is accused of using a child as a theft accomplice has had hear preliminary hearing before District Judge Robert Wyda delayed.
Ashley Burke, 26, was arrested by Upper St. Clair police on July 1 after being caught with items for which she did not pay after leaving Sears at South Hills Village, according to the police report.
The report states that she was observed putting a bottle of cologne in her purse and taking a hair clip from a package and putting it in the 6-year-old girl’s hair. She then returned the package, with two remaining clips, to its proper place.

According to the report, the arresting officer recommended Burke be charged with corruption to minors along with retail theft because of her role in involving the child.
Her hearing was rescheduled for Aug. 27 at her attorney’s request.
