Woman Accused of Stealing Sent to Jail

The latest from the office of Magisterial District Judge Robert Wyda.

sent a Pittsburgh woman to the Allegheny County Jail Monday after he discovered two outstanding bench warrants for her arrest during a preliminary hearing.

Jenauba Lipford, 22, of 307 Arabella St., Pittsburgh, PA 15210, is charged with stealing items from the Macy's on Dec. 24, 2010 and April 1, 2011.

In the latest case filed by the Bethel Park police, officers stated Lipford tried to steal more than $500 worth of Polo hats, shirts and a pair of pants.

In addition, Wyda discovered that Lipford failed to appear to two separate retail theft hearings with district Judges Thomas Torkowsky in Homestead and Suzanne Blaschak in West Deer. Wyda increased Lipford's bail by $1,000 to $6,000. She was handcuffed and taken to the Allegheny County Jail on Monday afternoon.

Shane Mayle, 34, of 5221A Texas Ave., Bethel Park, PA, 15102, is charged with driving under the influence and driving on roadways laned for traffic.

On Aug. 14 at 11:45 p.m., Peters Township police contacted Upper St. Clair police about a report of a small, red car swerving on Route 19. According to the criminal complaint filed with Wyda, Upper St. Clair police pulled the car over on Drake Road. The officer stated the driver, Mayle, smelled of alcohol and admitted to having a few drinks at . Mayle agreed to a field sobriety test, in which he failed, according to the complaint.
