Upper St. Clair Man/Pitt Professor Charged with Misusing Money to Buy Drugs

Police said that Day had injected the narcotics into himself.

A University of Pittsburgh professor from Upper St. Clair Township has been charged with using university and federal grant money to buy drugs for himself, according to a Pittsburgh Post-Gazette report.

Dr. Billy W. Day, 52, of Pitt's School of Pharmacy, was arraigned on Tuesday morning on 18 counts of felony drug charges after investigators reported that they found drugs in Day's office that can be used to treat anxiety.

According to the Post-Gazette report, police said that Day had injected the narcotics into himself.
