Marijuana Charges Reduced

An 18-year-old man pleaded guilty on Monday to two disorderly conduct charges after an Upper St. Clair Township police officer discovered him driving on Route 19 in late February in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, according to court documents.

Nathan John Saffer of Dumbarton Place in Bethel Park completed 40 hours of community service, which resulted in district Judge Robert C. Wyda reducing Saffer's charges.

Hit-and-Run Charges

Monday's preliminary hearing before Wyda for Jennifer Lynne Santiago, 41, of Bower Hill Road in Mt. Lebanon, was rescheduled for Aug. 5.

Santiago is accused by Upper St. Clair police of hitting two vehicles in the Trader Joe's parking lot along Washington Road in early April and leaving the scene, according to court documents.

Retail Theft Charge

Kaylin Anne Lyon, 19, of Lawrence (Cecil Township), who was charged with stealing $380 in PlayStation3 gear from the Sears at South Hills Village in early February, had a preliminary hearing before Wyda on Monday.

Lyon reported that she had completed a retail theft rehabilitation class and agreed to pay restitution, according to court documents.

Another Retail Theft Charge

Jerome Edward Coulehan of Cadet Avenue in Pittsburgh's Brookline neighborhood is accused of stealing more than $900 in clothing from the South Hills Village Macy's in early February, according to court documents.

Coulehan had his preliminary hearing before Wyda on Monday rescheduled for Aug. 5 so that he could complete a retail theft rehabilitation class.
