Unsolved Cases: Dominick Brown-Hill

The 21-year-old from Penn Hills has been missing since March 22.

Sometimes you repeatedly cross paths with people, not knowing their names, but still exchanging a nod or pleasantries as you pass.

For Nancy Monahan, who runs the Pennsylvania Missing Persons website, Dominick Brown-Hill was one of those people. She remembers saying "hello" to him on occasion as he walked near her home in Penn Hills.

And then he vanished.

"Boy, it just makes you think—a stranger you might see is suddenly gone," Monahan said.

Brown-Hill was last seen Thursday, March 22, on Althea Drive in Penn Hills, not far from a home where he had been staying. At about 5 or 6 p.m. the next day, he called the home's owner—a friend's grandmother—to say he would be coming back that evening.

But he never showed up.

. His cell phone has been shut off. Family and friends told police that it is unlike him to be gone so long without being in touch. Police have not found any evidence to indicate he might have been harmed.

Brown-Hill is 21 years old, 6-feet tall and weighs about 180 pounds. He has black/brown hair and his eyes are brown. He was last seen wearing a red Nike shirt with "Just Do It" on the back, black basketball shorts, a Detroit Red Wings ball cap and gray-and-white sneakers.

WPXI reported on April 2 that Brown-Hill's family is offering a $3,000 reward for information on his whereabouts. Monahan said, following a tip, a search was conducted in the vicinity of Reservoir Road in Highland Park on April 11 but turned up nothing.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Penn Hills Police Department at 412-798-2035 or dial Allegheny County 911.
