Shoplifters Hit Louis Vuitton in Ross Park Mall

Police say they have leads and are reviewing surveillance video.

Ross Township police are looking for five people suspected of walking into the Louis Vuitton Store in Ross Park Mall Thursday around 8:00 p.m. and walking out with an undetermined number of handbags.

Store officials were conducting an inventory Friday morning to determine the extent of the loss. The designer handbags aren't cheap, with some costing over $1,000 apiece.

"Based on surveillance video it does appear that these five individuals were working together," said Ross Police Detective Brian Kohlhepp. "The store was open at the time and employees did attempt to confront the actors when they fled the store. No one was injured and no customers were ever in danger."

Kohlhepp said the group left the mall in a car, but there is not a good description of the vehicle.

"The group appears to be a mix of male and females all in their 20’s or early 30’s and all appear to be African-American," said Kohlhepp. "There are witnesses and we are following a number of investigative leads at this time."

Police are also reviewing surveillance video.

"Any time that an incident like this occurs our first concern is for the safety of our customers and mall employees,” a Ross Park Mall spokesman said in a statement. "We at Ross Park Mall are committed to providing a safe, quality shopping environment for our shoppers and retail tenants."

The Bible makes it very clear what Christ's expectations are for Christians surrounding gambling andRead More games of chance. Bingo and a Raffle should strike many as surprising events/activities for a church sponsored event. The 'MoreFest' is a wonderful event to provide a family friendly Christian atmosphere for the community. Sadly, the activities themselves send a mixed message, further confusing non-believers who prefer to frame Christians as hypocrites rather than fallible humans who are saved because the choose to believe.
