Power Restored After Early Morning Hit and Run

A driver crashed into a mailbox and underground electrical box on Diablo Drive.

About 80 West Penn Power customers lost power overnight following a hit and run.

Upper St. Clair police reported to Township Manager Matthew Serakowski that a mailbox and underground electrical box were damaged by a vehicle before 3 a.m. Thursday at 848 Diablo Dr.

Police stated they followed a fluid path left by a vehicle which led them to a house down the road. They said they found a damaged vehicle in the driveway.

Police have charged Ryan Peck, 21, in the incident.

Power was restored at 4:40 a.m.
