New Chief of Police in Upper St. Clair

The new chief replaces the retired Ronald Pardini.

Douglas Burkholder can remove the word "acting" from his title.

After serving as the acting police chief of Upper St. Clair Township since May 1, Burkholder swore in as the newest township police chief at the Upper St. Clair Board of Commissioners' most recent meeting, according to a report in The Almanac.

The 60-year-old Burkholder was the township's deputy police chief under former Chief Ronald Pardini, but Pardini retired on April 30.

Burkholder joined the Upper St. Clair Police Department in 1976, according to The Almanac.
