Limo Driver Faces Charges After Four Vehicle Crashes

The preliminary hearing for a North Huntingdon man accused of crashing into three vehicles in Upper St. Clair while driving a limo was continued on Monday.

charged Robert J. Romano, 61, of 10253 Garnet Lane, North Huntingdon, PA 15624, with three counts of accident involving damage to attended vehicles; one count of driving while operating privilege is suspended or revoked; one count of passing in a no-passing zone; one count of driving within single lanes; and one count of reckless driving.

According to a criminal complaint filed with district , police stated Romano was driving a black limo on Aug. 21 when he sideswiped three attended vehicles on McMillan Road near Painters Run Road. Police stated he drove away from the scene.

He was stopped four miles from the crash by the South Fayette police when he crashed into the rear of another vehicle in South Fayette, according to the complaint.

His hearing was continued until Jan. 30, 2012.

Thomas J. Reiber, 32, of 110 Broughton Rd. Bethel Park, is charged with one count theft by unlawful taking and one count access device fraud.

According to the criminal complaint filed by the Upper St. Clair police, a woman living at a home on Montclair Drive noticed her Coach wallet missing from her purse the morning of Sept. 26—about one hour after workmen arrived at her house.

Police stated in the complaint that Reiber surfaced as a suspect in the $170 loss to the woman and that on Sept. 29 he provided police a statement admitting theft and attempting to use a debit card.

Reiber's hearing was continued for 30 days and he must pay restitution to the victim.

Dismissed upon payment of restitution
Ann Fallert, 62, of 635 Painters Run Road, Upper St. Clair, is charged with one count forgery and one count access device fraud.

According to a criminal complaint filed by the Upper St. Clair police, Ann Fallert used the credit card of Terri Fallert after Terri died on July 7. A brother brought the $1,636 of unauthorized purchases to the police department's attention on July 15. Police stated Terri was staying with Ann at the time of her death.

The charges against Ann will be dismissed upon payment of restitution.
