Gas Station Robbery Suspects Held for Trial

The men are in the Allegheny County Jail.

Three young men accused of robbing the St. Clair Mini Market on Route 19 at gunpoint were held for trial Monday.

Charles E. Clark, of Taylorstown, PA; David A. Piatt, of Washington, PA; and Matthew C. McDonald, of Washington, PA; are accused of stealing $650 from the clerk on .

Clark was arraigned and waived his right to a preliminary hearing in district Judge Robert Wyda's courtroom on Monday. His bond was set at $25,000.

Judge Wyda reduced the bond on Piatt and McDonald from $250,000 to $25,000.

Upper St. Clair police stated in a criminal complaint that the Pennsylvania State Police in Washington, PA received information that linked the three men to the Upper St. Clair robbery and other thefts.
