GARDA Robbery Fugitive to Appear on 'America's Most Wanted'

A man accused of killing a Woodland Hills alumni remains on the loose.

A multi-agency investigation continues in the search for the man accused of killing his workmate in a violent robbery just a few weeks ago.

Konias is wanted in the homicide of a GARDA armored truck employee, Michael Haines, who also was a graduate of 1999.

The FBI is utilizing social media while most recently, three detectives and one FBI special agent working on the case traveled to Washington, D.C. to appear on America’s Most Wanted.

Pittsburgh Bureau of Police Detectives Peg Sherwood and J.R. Smith, FBI Special Agent Scott Argiro (Pittsburgh office) and Ross Police Department Detective Brian Kohlhepp will be featured on the show, which will air on Friday, March 16 at 9 p.m. on the Lifetime Channel. 

Konias is wanted for the subsequent robbery of a substantial amount of money contained in the vehicle. The investigation in this case is on-going.

In an exerted effort to garner more attention to this case, a wanted poster of Konias is being featured on electronic billboards up and down the east coast.
