Fire Truck Brings Santa to Town

The Upper St. Clair Fire Department led Santa through every Upper St. Clair neighborhood on Saturday, Dec. 17.

Instead of the sound of jingling bells, a blaring fire siren alerted Upper St. Clair residents that Santa was in town.

The led Kris Kringle through every neighborhood on Saturday.

Santa greeted children with giant Christmas lollipops, parents with USC Volunteer Fire Department calendars and dogs with biscuits.

"I think it's fabulous. It's great for the firefighters to get out and for the kids to have something to look forward to," mother Erin Frohnhofer said.

"I like fire trucks," four-year-old Noah Frohnhofer said, holding his lollipop.

He also appeared pleased he was able to let Santa know he wants ice skates for Christmas.

If you missed Santa's Upper St. Clair visit this year, don't worry, the fire department is planning on teaming up with the big guy again next December.
