West Virginia Woman Accused of Shoplifting at Sears

The preliminary hearing for a West Virginia woman accused of shoplifting from Sears at was continued Monday.

Maureen Ellen McNeil, 65, of 220 Sandy Ave., Moundsville, WV, is charged with one count of retail theft.

accuse McNeil of stealing three pairs of earrings worth $40 and one package of men's underwear worth $34, according to the criminal complaint filed with .

This is the fourth time McNeil is facing a retail theft charge, according to police.

The case against Phillip V. Berta, 27, of 5350 Fieldcrest Dr., Pittsburgh, was continued again.

Berta is charged with one count of theft by unlawful taking.

He's accused of stealing a gold and diamond necklace worth $1,000 and nearly $200 in coins from an Upper St. Clair home on Siesta Drive while he was working in December.

Berta has been ordered to pay restitution.

Waived to Court
The retail theft charge Angel-Marie E. Borne, 30, of 636 Margaret St., Mt. Oliver, is facing was reduced to a misdemeanor and waived to court Monday.

Borne is accused of stealing a silver necklace worth $30 from Sears at South Hills Village.

Charge Reduced
The charge against Kaylin Lyon, 18, of 1479 Yorktown Dr., Lawrence, was reduced to a summary disorderly conduct Monday. The student was accused of stealing her teacher's iPhone.
