Cleaning Lady Charged With Stealing From USC Clients

A cleaning lady accused of stealing jewelry from two clients is headed to trial.

Renee L. Edwards, 40, of Eighty-Four, is charged with two counts of theft.

According to a criminal complaint filed by the , Edwards is accused of stealing nine items of jewelry worth $1,500 from a home on Kiefer Drive.

The victim's ex-mother-in-law in Mt. Lebanon had been similarly victimized and both cases linked to Edwards, according to the complaint.

In the second case filed in Upper St. Clair, Edwards is accused of stealing a $3,000 ring and a $1,500 ring from a home on Cherokee Road.

Edwards spent five days in jail.

Plea Deal
Arunkumar Ratilal Trivedi, 75, from the country of India, pleaded guilty to summary retail theft on Monday.

According to a criminal complaint filed by Upper St. Clair police, Sears Loss Prevention officers found Trivedi in possession of a stolen Perry Ellis bottle of cologne and five assorting clothing items, totaling $240 in value.

Trivedi will soon be heading back to India and had been staying with a relative in Upper St. Clair.

Angel-Marie E. Borne, 30, of 636 Margaret St., Mt. Oliver, is charged with one count of retail theft.

Borne is accused of stealing a silver necklace worth $30 from Sears at .

According to a criminal complaint filed by Upper St. Clair police, Borne has three previous retail charges against her.
