The Upper Saint Clair Republican Committee's Endorsements and Non-Endorsement - Suspect, as Usual

I received the latest Election Guide from the Upper Saint Clair Republican Committee on November 1 and as usual, its endorsements and a non-endorsement are telling.
There is no endorsement for County Council Candidate Sue Means.  Ms Means states that she will act so as to spend each tax dollar as if it is her own, and I believe her.  My State Representative acknowledged that she was the only individual that waged an honorable campaign for State Senate against mudslingers Raja and Mustio. Getting to the polls to vote for Sue Means was important to me and I will do it again on Tuesday notwithstanding the fact that she is unopposed in this race.  I believe she will represent the district with intellect and distinction.  Why would she not garner an endorsement of a purportedly fiscally conservative group?
The Committee DOES endorse Commissioners Mark Christie and Dan Paoly. Christie, the only Commissioner to consistently appear in casual attire in official photographs, went out on a limb to endorse the Mark Mustio State Senate candidacy despite its despicable anti-immigrant bent. Mustio acted so dishonorably that the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, in an unprecedented action, yanked its endorsement of him. Commissioner Christie sent letters to area residents, urging a vote for Mustio despite the slime which surrounded his campaign.  Mr. Christie did not have the courtesy to offer any response to a detailed letter I sent him in response to his ill-advised endorsement.
Commissioner Paoly declined to respond to my question about how he would have voted on our $27.5 million taxpayer-built Community and Recreation Center.  His non-response was an answer; he did not want to tell me what I did not want to hear; he would have voted for it.
The Committee endorses two school board members that have contributed to the high level of spending and taxation inflicted on the residents, the real estate levy serving to explain why many residents remain in Upper Saint Clair only until their children have graduated from our outstanding schools.
I will vote independently, eschewing the advice of the Upper Saint Clair Republican Committee, whose motives have long been suspect.
