Impeaching Attorney General Kane - Leave it to the Bizarre Daryl Metcalfe

In the latest manifestation of his unvarnished contempt for those that do not share his sexual orientation, the irrepressible, inimitable "gentleman" from Butler County, State Representative Daryl Metcalfe, has sought supporters in a bid to impeach State Attorney General Kathleen Kane, a Democrat that has crossed Metcalfe by refusing to defend the state law which precludes gay men and women from marrying on the basis of her belief that it is unconstitutional.
Metcalfe's action was quickly met with tacit approval from fellow Republican, House Speaker Sam Smith, who has assured that the measure will receive "serious consideration".  What did not ever receive the same consideration was a motion to reprimand Metcalfe for refusing to allow an openly gay member of the House to speak because what Metcalfe anticipated he would say would offend his religious sensibilities.
Nothing should surprise the public in the actions of a body which voted unanimously to make 2012 The Year of the Bible, a laughable proposition to be propelled by some of the most unholy individuals in the Commonwealth.
If Representative Metcalfe makes any progress in attempting to overturn the election of an honorable Attorney General, the Commonwealth will plunge further into disgrace and derision. Concerned citizens should watch this battle closely.
