I have been looking forward to receiving my election edition Upper Saint Clair Republican Committee Newsletter, knowing that it would chock full of chuckles, as always, and it did not disappoint.
The chairman scores Democrat Matt Smith for running for the State House and Senate simultaneously, something which is not a problem for the committee when a Republican does it! Consequently, we read not a word about John Maher seeking to retain his House seat and to become State Auditor General, or for Paul Ryan to run for re-election to the U.S. House and for Vice-President. The GOP members are endorsed by the Committee (of course) with not a word about their duplicity.
Is it any wonder that both major political parties are despised and that they breed apathy in the electorate, which it seeks to play for fools?
