Alabama Miracle - Five Year Old Boy Taken Hostage by Misfit Rescued by FBI Agents

Skilled and Brave Agents Succeed in the Near-Impossible Task of Returning Captive Child to his Family - Hallelujah!

God bless the members of the Federal Bureau of Investigation whose skill and bravery enabled the daring rescue of a five-year-old Alabama boy being held hostage by a gun-toting misfit, a man linked to an anti-government survivalist movement.

The actor had been under FBI surveillance nearly from the start of the ordeal he inflicted on the boy and the community.  It has been reported that agents had a number of methods to raid the bunker at their fingertips had the need to storm it arisen, which it did on the fateful day the siege came to a close.

The best possible result occurred with the gunman having been killed in the underground bunker he had occupied for five long days with this poor child.

The perpetrator was a man who had frightened and menaced neighbors and had beaten a dog to death with a pipe, yet he was free and somehow able to acquire and possess weapons, one of which he used to kill the heroic school bus driver who attempted to thwart the killer's desire to take children with him from the bus.

The individuals that brought this ugly chapter in Midland City, Alabama's history to the most successful end under the circumstances are worth their weight in gold, worthy of special commendation and honor.  Surely they have the admiration and respect of caring individuals throughout the nation.

May five-year-old "Ethan" and his family recover well from the horror that was inflicted on them and may the family and friends of the bus driver who gave his life for his charges be comforted in the knowledge that this valiant man shall never be forgotten.
