Another Mass Murderer Allowed to Slip Through The Cracks?

When a Muslim fanatic and hater slaughtered innocent people at a Fort Hood, Texas military installation in 2009, we learned, to our horror, that he had given every indication that he was a ticking time bomb, but that he was not removed from his position or placed under surveillance due to a lethal case of cockeyed political correctness. 

Now we learn that the savage gunman that inflicted carnage at the Washington D. C. Naval Yard had serious mental health issues for which he had sought help and that he had numerous brushes with the law relating to uncontrolled anger and involving firearms.  Somehow, though, he was able to purchase guns and to continue in his position as a contractor at a purportedly high security military facility.

If government failure is to be the norm, if stunning incompetence and unwillingness to act on critical information is to continue, it is reasonable to conclude that our tax dollars are being squandered.

Why is our government incapable of performing its primary duty, to provide for the safety of the American people?  Who will be disciplined, discharged, or held accountable in any way for the latest sickening dereliction of duty?
