Bienvenido a Honduras 2013: The Advance Team Arrives!

Let the unpacking begin!

The Advance Team arrived safely in San Pedro Sula yesterday morning and got to work preparing for the team to arrive in a few days.

They received an amazing reception from all the staff at the hospital, many of whom we are happy to call friends after our first trip last year.  A local medical school provided a number of volunteers to help speed up the setup process, allowing the Advance Team to get a big jump start on the week.

Our Team Leaders are very optimistic that this year will certainly top our 2012 efforts in Honduras and are excited to welcome team members from Operation Walk Denver tomorrow who are coming to help setup and consider Honduras as a destination for their 2014 international efforts!

We'd also like to say thank you to our friends, supporters, donors, and sponsors who make these efforts possible.  As the team unpacks cargo and prepares for this year's surgeries, its always an overwhelming experience to see the efforts of so many companies and volunteers come together. We cannot thank you enough for all of your help gathering millions of dollars of donated medical supplies and equipment.
