Nonprofit Organized by USC Officer and Firefighter Sponsoring Dog Food Drive

The Pittsburgh Aviation Animal Rescue Team, which was founded by Upper St. Clair volunteer firefighter Brad Childs and Upper St. Clair police officer Robert McMaster, is hosting a dog food drive to benefit multiple animal shelters in the area that are in desperate need of food and supplies due to increased demand in the summer.

Donations will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 29, at the Houlihan's entrance at The Mall at Robinson.

Any type and size of dry or canned dog food will be accepted. Once collected, the food will be flown to shelters in the tri-state area through the service of the PAART.

PAART is a volunteer, nonprofit organization that transports rescued animals to their new homes and organizes donations of food and supplies to fill the empty planes on the way down. They have saved hundreds of pets and delivered thousands of pounds of food to shelters in need.
