USC Girls Beat Chartiers Valley, 1 - 0

USC girls soccer defeat Chartiers Valley in big section game.

The girls soccer team scored a goal with less than one minute to play breaking a scoreless tie with Chartiers Valley Thursday night.

With 51 seconds left in the game, Abbie Schuster served in a bouncing ball to the middle of the field. Carly Bogan controlled the ball and ran by an aggressive CV keeper and calmly put the ball in the back of the net. USC had the better of the play, but CV's defense was very active, double and triple teaming the ball, cutting off passing lanes, and holding the Panthers scoreless for over 79 minutes.

The 1-0 victory raised the Panther's record to 7-0 (overall) and to 5-0 in section play (AAA Section 5).

This exciting last minute victory follows a double overtime win (1-0) at Canon-McMillan on Monday, when scored early in the second overtime off a nice pass from Hannah Wilhelm.

To date, the Panthers have scored 27 goals and have only given up two.
