Pittsburgh Civic Orchestra Holiday concert

Join the Pittsburgh Civic Orchestra musicians as they celebrate this holiday season at 7:30 pm December 15 at the Upper St. Clair Theater, 1820 McLaughlin Run Road in Upper St. Clair. The theater is totally handicapped accessible.

Along with holiday favorites such as Leroy Anderson’s “Sleigh Ride” and “A Christmas Festival,” the PCO will be joined by the Upper St. Clair High School Pantheon Choir singing “O Come, O Come, Emmanuel,” the traditional Hebrew song of thanks “Al Hanissim,” Gustov Holst’s "Christmas Day", and Brahms’ “How Lovely is Thy Dwelling Place.”  Orchestra violinist Maria Mauti will also be singing many holiday favorites to include the traditional Carol Sing-Along.  Other highlights include Arabian coffee, marzipan candy, Chinese tea, marching toy soldiers and sugar plums—all collectively found in Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Ballet.  Corelli's "Christmas Concerto" will showcase the PCO strings.

Make plans to bring the whole family to this annual Holiday Event!  The young and young-at-heart won’t want to miss this musical celebration.  And remember, soft drinks and Christmas cookies are featured at intermission.
