farmhouse

Meeting to be held outside, weather permitting, so be sure to bring a jacket

Light refreshments will be provided

We have a special guest speaker for the meeting, Mark Browning of the Barn Owl Box Company (www.barnowlbox.com) will be presenting.  Mark is an animal trainer and field researcher for the Pittsburgh Zoo.  He has studied barn owls for years and his research resulted in the creation of a lightweight, long-lasting barn owl box to help with barn own conservation.  The Historical Society of Upper St. Clair has invested in a barn own box in hopes of helping local conservation efforts.  Mark will be coming to describe the box and to provide information on the history, physical characteristics, behaviors and
status of the barn owl in our area.
