Winter Weather Advisory: 1-3 Inches of Snow Possible Overnight

Be prepared for slick travel conditions on Friday morning.

The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a winter weather advisory that goes into affect at 9 p.m. Thursday and expires at 6 p.m. Friday.

Forecasters predict rain will turn to snow after 10 p.m. in Upper St. Clair. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches is possible overnight.

"Dangerous travel conditions are expected due to quickly falling temperatures this evening, icing over roads, followed by strong winds and snow showers overnight and Friday," the weather advisory stated.
