Port Authority To Operate On Holiday Schedule On Labor Day

Schedule adjustments to begin Sunday to accommodate Labor Day parade.

The Port Authority of Allegheny County on Monday will operate all bus, light-rail and incline service on a holiday schedule during Labor Day.

The authority also will operate detours on more than 30 bus routes that travel through Downtown, the Hill District and on Bigelow Boulevard to Oakland during Pittsburgh's annual Labor Day parade Downtown.  Those changes will be in effect from around 9 a.m. to 2 p.m, authority officials said.

The authority's telephone information line will operate from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Its Downtown Service Center will be closed.
