Patch Pet: Meet Munch!

Do you have room in your heart and home for this guy?

Munch is a 2-and-a-half year old Pit mix who was brought to the Animal Rescue League shelter in Pittsburgh when his owner no longer had a place to keep him.

The owner described Munch as a 'lovable' dog and indicated he was friendly with the kids in the house and also got along with cats. We're not sure how Munch would be with other dogs, but doggie introductions can always be arranged with our adoptions counselors. Munch is said to be house-trained and responds to 'sit.'

He is an active, energetic dog that would do best in a home that offered him plenty of exercise and play time. Munch has a tendency to pull when walked on a leash, as well as jump up in enthusiasm. Both of these behaviors can be addressed through obedience training classes, which the shelter does offer.

Due to his active behavior, including a tendency to knock over small kids in his enthusiasm, we're suggesting that a home with older kids (8 years and older) would be best.

For more information about Munch, please contact his volunteer friend Ginny at ginnymerchant@gmail.com or 412-841-5765. Munch's adoption fee is $115.
