The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh issued a flash flood watch for Allegheny County. The watch goes into effect Friday morning and will last until Saturday evening.

Moderate to heavy rainfall will spread across the region on Friday, persisting into Saturday, the National Weather Service said. Rainfall of one to three inches is possible.

The rain — in combination with nearly saturated ground from recent rainfall — will create the potential for rising water in streams and creeks and in areas of poor drainage.

Prepare for cool temperatures on Friday as well. The high is expected to only be 47 degrees. It should warm up to a high of 71 degrees on Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.
