1. South Hills Village Mall Redevelopment Public Hearing
for the renovation and expansion of the former Boscov's building is Monday, June 6 at 7:30 p.m. at .

The Simon Property Group, the owners of the mall, is proposing to expand the lower level of the existing building and turn it into a Target. The Dick's Sporting Goods located behind the mall would move into the top two floors.

2. Kids Helping Kids Silent Auction
Kids Helping Kids, a club at , is running a silent auction from Monday, June 6 to Friday, June 10. Parents, teachers and community members can swing by anytime during the week to bid on items which are located in the display cases outside the theater. Items include Adirondack deck chairs, pottery, baskets and services donated by the high school club members. All proceeds will benefit the work the club members do in the Dominican Republic.

3. New Miracle Field Groundbreaking
Former MLB player Sean Casey and his wife, Mandi, will host, along with Pirates Charities Chairman Bob Nutting, a . 

in the summer of 2010 with the goal of building a Miracle League Field for children with special needs in the South Hills. With the help of Pirates Charities, the organization raised nearly $1 million for the construction of a custom-designed, rubberized field that will allow children of all abilities to play baseball.

The groundbreaking will take place Thursday, June 9 at Boyce Mayview Park.

4. Last Day For Seniors
Thursday, June 9 is the final day of class for the Upper St. Clair High School seniors. High school graduation is next week on Thursday, June 16. 

5. Reality TV Contestant Begins Rock Opera Tour
, an Upper St. Clair High School graduate whose real name is Rob Shogry, will kick off his rock opera tour on Saturday, June 11 at Club Cafe in the South Side. Click here for details.
