Another Spring Day, Another Severe Thunderstorm Watch

The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh issued a severe thunderstorm watch until 9 p.m.

Similar to late afternoon on Monday, the dark clouds and pounding rain have moved into Upper St. Clair again.

The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh issued a severe thunderstorm watch for all of southwestern Pennsylvania that expires at 9 p.m.

The special severe weather statement issued said, "This storm has a history of producing destructive winds and damaging hail. Also, frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with the storm, so move indoors. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning."
