Help Feed Your Neighbors! Volunteer Drivers and Bakers Needed.

Meals On Wheels of Peters Township is in urgent need of more volunteers to help meet our growing demand for meals. We now serve over 180 clients in a wide area which includes Peters, Canonsburg, Houston, Eighty-Four, Finleyville, and parts of Bridgeville/S. Fayette, Upper St. Clair, and Bethel Park.

Volunteer drivers are needed for regular weekly routes and also as occasional substitutes. Drivers pick up meals at 10:30 am from our kitchen above the Peters Township Fire Department, and are finished around 12:30 pm with their routes. Delivering meals is a fun, rewarding experience for individuals to do alone or with a spouse or friend.

Volunteers are also needed to bake cookies at home to donate for our clients' meals. Diabetic-friendly cookies are especially needed, but any type of cookie is appreciated. This is a wonderful activity for families, scout troops, church groups, and students who need community service hours for school.

Please call 724-969-1000 or visit our website www.mowpt.org for more information about volunteering. Thank you!
