Where to Find the Cheapest Gas

The cheapest gas is being sold across the Upper St. Clair Township border again this week.

As the average price of gasoline in the United States rises, the average price in Pittsburgh has remained about the same (sigh of relief), according to AAA.

Part of the reason for the current high gas prices, is the domestic trouble in Egypt. The country controls the Suez Canal, one of the world's most important waterways for oil transportation.

Again this week, the cheapest gas is across the border in Scott Township. Both the Shell station and the Exxon on Painters Run Road are selling gas for $3.13.

If the Scott Township stations too far out of the way, your next best bet is to buy gas at the St. Clair Mini Mart's Sunoco down Route 19. A gallon of unleaded is $3.14.

Every other gas station I drove by on Monday is selling gas for $3.15, even the GetGos.
