Target Store Opening Date Revealed

Target officials are hiring for the new Upper St. Clair store.

The Target store in Upper St. Clair is opening March 10, 2013.

Target officials are looking for hourly team leaders and team members for the new store that attached to South Hills Village.

To apply, click here, and then select hourly store positions and search by the store location, Upper St. Clair.

Target is also having a mass hire event on Jan. 10, 11 and 12 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on Fort Couch Road. Hundreds of interviews will be conducted to fill the positions. Although walk-ins are welcome, applicants are encouraged to apply online to avoid the lines.

"An inclusive, energetic culture, incredible opportunity. A community-focused company. And one of the most powerful brands in the world. You can expect a lot from a career at Target," stated Kimberly Slater, Target human resource manager.

The 145,000 square-foot store will employ more than 200 team members.

Target representatives received approval from Upper St. Clair commissioners in June 2011 to renovate and add on to the first level of the former Boscov's building.

This will be great for the community and gratiftying to no longer see this large space once occupied by other stores vacant. Target is a cut above other "big-box" retailers and it is one that is known for superior customer service and sharing its success with the community through philanthropy. The store should be highly successful in this location. I wish it the best!
