After graduating from the Bikram Yoga College of India a few years ago, he’s worked full-time as a yoga instructor at 15 studios in the United States and Canada. He hopes to pass on what he’s learned to people of all fitness levels.

“They taught me how to work with people of all different physical and mental abilities and how to optimize the Bikram practice for each individual’s specific needs,” Filippini said of his training. “My goal is to teach this healing yoga to as many people as possible. I’m thrilled to bring my knowledge and experience to the Mt. Lebanon community.”

Filippini was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and moved to New Jersey with his family when he was 13. They moved again to Peters Township and he graduated high school there. He graduated from CMU in 2000 and later traveled to NYC before training at Bikram.

He’s excited now to bring his workout knowledge back to the South Hills of Pittsburgh.

“The product itself, it is a beginner yoga class that it tailored to people of all shapes and sizes,” Filippini said. “Some people think yoga is difficult and hard and you have to be flexible. It’s totally the opposite. It’s for everybody. Anyone can do it.”
