Local Ballerina Starring in Network Series

A Pittsburgh Youth Ballet Company alum stars in "Breaking Pointe," a new show on the CW Network.

A Pittsburgh Youth Ballet Company dancer is gracing the small screen in a new show centered on the beauty and elegance, as well as the intensity and competitivity, of ballet.

Allison DeBona stars in "Breaking Pointe" on the CW Network. The PYBC alum will also be teaching for a week in July during the school's Summer Intensive Program, for which spaces are still available.

DeBona studied and performed at the studio, previously located in Bethel Park and now in Peters Township, for five years. According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, she grew up in New Castle, graduated from Chartiers Valley High School and attended Indiana University in Bloomington while training with the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre's graduate program.
