Last Chance: Don't Miss Out on Our Photo Contest

There's an old saying about deadlines.

"I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by," Douglas Adams wrote.

We at Patch want to help make your life a little easier by telling you about some of the upcoming deadlines before you hear that whooshing.

This week we want to remind you of our photo contest—one that will net one lucky reader with two tickets to the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre's upcoming production of "Coppelia."

Entering is easy, but do so by midnight. Today is the last day you may enter our contest by uploading your photo or photos of your favorite youngster with a favorite toy.

Each Patch site in western Pennsylvania will choose one winner and award one prize, using a random drawing from entries submitted to each site.

Each winner will receive a pair of tickets to attend the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre's production of the romantic comedy "Coppelia" at the Benedum Center for the Performing Arts. Featuring its own lifesize dancing dolls, the classic ballet tells the story of an inventor who creates the beautiful mechanical "Coppelia" and the confusion that ensues when villagers mistake her for lovely Swanilda—and vice versa.

Each pair of tickets will be for an 8 p.m. performance on Friday or Saturday. Winners may choose their preferred date. The retail value of the tickets is $81.50.

Do you need to be Ansel Adams to win this? No. The single qualification for photos you send is that they include a child and a toy that, together, make you smile.
