"South Pacific"

Upper St. Clair High School invites you to their production of "South Pacific" by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II. "South Pacific" is considered to be one of the greatest Broadway musicals and follows the story of Ensign Nellie Forbush, a U.S. Navy nurse from Little Rock,Arkansas. She falls in love with Emile de Becque, a middle-aged French plantation owner with a dark past. The issue of racial prejudice is explored in several plot threads, the most prominent of these being the struggle of the lead character to accept the mixed-race children of her lover.

Plan to purchase tickets in advance, as shows tend to sell out.
