Valentine's Day: Famous Local Couple of Upper St. Clair

In honor of Valentine's Day, we're taking a look at one of Upper St. Clair's most well-known couples.

Upper St. Clair has its fair share of lovebirds, but this couple stands out among the rest, especially this Valentine’s Day.

Sean and Mandi Casey, with the help of the community, have raised about $1 million to get the Miracle League of the South Hills up and running.

It’s now time to take a closer look at what makes Sean and Mandi so sweet.

Patch: What’s the secret to a successful and happy relationship?

Casey: Compromising and communication

Patch: What famous couple do you emulate?

Casey: We don't emulate anyone famous, but we look to Sean's parents as role models for our marriage. They have been together for 43 years and we can only hope to be there one day:)

Patch: Why did you settle in Upper St. Clair, and how long have you lived here?

Casey: Sean grew up here, so six years ago we decided to come back to be close to family. It is very important to us that our kids grow up near their grandparents who also live in Upper St. Clair.

Patch: What’s your favorite romantic night out in Upper St. Clair area?

Casey: When we actually get a night out, we love to go to dinner and a movie.

The Caseys' fundraising efforts continue as they are working to build a playground next to the Miracle Field that children of all abilities will be able to use.

Continue your Valentine's Day celebration this Saturday, Feb. 16, at the Miracle League and Casey's Clubhouse Comedy Night. There will be drinks, Italian dinner from Franco's and more. Tickets are $50. Click here for more information.

Another way to support the Miracle League is by raising money while you take part in the Pittsburgh Marathon festivities in May. Click here for more information.
