Work to improve Washington Road (Route 19/3069) and Connor/Gilkeson Road (Route 3038) in Mt. Lebanon will continue this weekend, June 21-24, weather permitting.

Work will occur from 6 p.m. on Friday through 6 a.m. on Monday, according to a news release from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation District 11-0, in the following locations:

- Southbound Washington Road (Route 19) will be reduced to a single lane between Cochran Road and Connor/Gilkeson Road.

- Crews will be milling and paving Cochran Road between Florida Avenue and Washington Road. Traffic will be restricted on Cochran to two lanes, one in each direction, during the work.

- Traffic will be reduced to a single lane in both directions around-the-clock on both Connor and Gilkeson roads. The lefthand travel lane on Connor will be closed in both directions from Washington Road to East Terrace/Sunridge Drive. The lefthand travel lane on Gilkeson Road will be closed in both directions from Washington Road to nearly Old Gilkeson Road.

Motorists are advised to use caution and be aware of changing traffic patterns when traveling through the area. Expect delays and allow extra time.

PennDOT officials also remind motorists to use all open lanes to merge points.
