Record Attendance At PA Farm Show

State Rep. John Maher, R-Upper St. Clair, said it's a great week to be the agriculture committee chair.

Saturday is the last day for this year's Pennsylvania Farm Show, which is experiencing record attendance and heavier than usual traffic volume.

The show draws over 400,000 visitors from around the world and is the largest indoor agricultural exposition in the U.S.—with nearly 6,000 animals, 10,000 competitive exhibits and 290 commercial exhibits.

The show is free. Parking costs $10.

Visitors planning to travel to the show Saturday should exercise caution when traveling on roads near the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center in Harrisburg. Drivers may experience times when parking is not available. The Pennsylvania Farm Show is working with the Pennsylvania State Police and PennDOT to ensure motorist safety.
