Question for Readers: What Is/Was This Building For?

Curiosity abounds in Upper St. Clair Township over who owns this tiny building at the Boyce Road-Route 19 intersection—and over what the building is used for.

A representative of Upper St. Clair's Community Development department confirmed on Thursday that the building is not township-owned. She also expressed belief that the building once served as an administrative office for the developers of the township's Deerfield Manor area.

Helen Palascak, director of the Upper St. Clair Township Library, said that the building looks like a model home once used for sales.

The building appears to be vacant, but as of Thursday, the land around the building is rather manicured.

However, strangely, the land leading to the home's garage appears to have never been paved.
