UPDATED: Rain Turns to Snow in Upper St. Clair

The temperature is significantly dropping.

After a short and severe thunderstorm in Upper St. Clair on Wednesday morning, and more rain Wednesday afternoon, there's snow on Thursday.

Here is more detailed look at the forecast from the National Weather Service:

  • Wednesday Night: Rain showers before 2am, then rain and snow showers likely between 2am and 3am, then snow showers likely after 3am. Low around 28. Breezy, with a southwest wind 16 to 23 mph, with gusts as high as 34 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total nighttime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
  • Thursday: A chance of snow showers, mainly before noon. Cloudy, with a high near 29. Breezy, with a west wind 20 to 22 mph, with gusts as high as 33 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
  • Thursday Night: A chance of snow showers. Cloudy, with a low around 14. Wind chill values as low as zero. West wind 15 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
  • Friday: A chance of snow showers, mainly before 1pm. Cloudy, with a high near 20. Wind chill values as low as -2. West wind 14 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
  • Friday Night: A slight chance of snow showers after 3am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 13. Southwest wind around 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
