It’s Thursday, and you’ve got no idea what you’ll do for the weekend. Patch is coming to the rescue. We’ve got the best bets for your done-work-outta-here time. Check out our top picks for this weekend to find something for everyone in the family to enjoy.

Where/When: South Hills Village: Lower Level North Court, Thursday, 5 - 8 p.m.
Why Go?: There will be a free event on the Lower Level in the North Court at South Hills Village for all moms! In celebration of Mother's Day, moms are invited to enjoy makeovers, fashion tips, entertainment, goodie bags and information about great "mom" organizations. Not to mention cool tips, demonstrations, food sampling, door prizes, special savings at some of your favorite stores and much more!

Where/When: , Thursday, 6-9 p.m.
Why go?: Ages 50 years or older are invited to an evening full of food, fun and festivities! There will be appetizers, non-alcoholic mint juleps and 10 gaming "horse bucks." Don't forget to wear your favorite hat!

Where/When: Mt. Lebanon Recreation Department, Thursday, 7-8 p.m.
Why go?: Teens and young-at-heart adults may join Nancy Griffin, a certified trainer, for a fun hoop dance workout that burns 420 calories an hour! Listen to your favorite pop tunes and sculpt your arms without ever lifting a free weight. Hula hoops will be provided. Teens must pre-register by getting a parent’s signature on to participate.

Why Go: Just in time for Mother’s Day! Create something handy for Mom to hold her jewelry. Ages 3 and up can make a clay pot jewelry holder for Mother's Day while supplies last.

Why Go?: The Fort Couch Middle School Performing Arts presents "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat." All seats are general admission and there will be no advance ticket sales. The USC HS Box Office will open at 6 p.m. on both performance dates.
Pricing: $4 Adult, $1 Students, FREE for Seniors 60 and over

Why Go?: Children can decorate a 2 layer, 6 inch cake to make a “flower pot” for Mom! Finish the cake with chocolate flowers and fondant tag! Call to register.

Why Go?: Bring the little ones to the library to create decorations and gifts for Mother's Day!

Where/When: Castle Shannon Memorial Fire Hall , Saturday, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Why Go?: This 6th Annual Spring Fling is a Craft & Vendor Show at the Castle Shannon Memorial Fire Hall on Rt. 88. Everyone will receive a free raffle ticket when they bring in an item to donate towards the Animal Friends Chow Wagon food collection. Items that are needed include dog and cat food (dry or canned), treats, toys, timothy hay for rabbits, cat litter, litter pans, blankets and towels.
Pricing: Admission is free, but donations are appreciated! Proceeds will be donated to Animal Friends.

Why Go?: Stop by the Bedner's Farm info table in the perennial section and learn how to design your dream garden. Get advice from garden experts and see live demonstrations to give you great ideas for your yard. Feel free to ask questions! No registration is required!

Why Go?: The United Methodist Women are sponsoring Mother's Day Brunch. All proceeds will benefit world missions, primarily for women and children. Call to RSVP!
